Packing Party! We take one suitcase of personal items and one suitcase of relief items/supplies.
Here we are packing all of our VBS supplies and other things like fleeces, toys, and medicine.
We're nearly ready! Tomorrow our team from Sunrise Christian Reformed Church sets out on the third annual mission trip to Lima, Peru. (If you want to see our 2 previous blogs, go to http://www.sunrisecrc.org/page.php?page_id=77 to see the links.) Our plane leaves at 10:32 from Indianapolis. The team this year has twelve people: Rick, Rhonda, Erika, and John Spykman; Sally Bergsma; Kay, Lori, and Heather Vanderkleed; Mark DeYoung; and Sue, Emily, and Maggie Wetzel.
Please pray for safety in travel, team unity, clarity in presenting the gospel, and ultimately that the love of God will touch each and every one of the children we will be serving.

ReplyDeleteHope that your first full day was a good one --you'll probably sleep well tonight! We'll be thinking of you as we worship together tomorrow morning -- you in Peru and us in Indiana.
